Recommendation for Catching Fire

I would recommend Catching Fire, the second book in the Hunger Games Trilogy, to anyone. Suzanne Collins left you hanging at every twist and turn. It was an exciting novel filled with action, adventure, and suspense. But first, read The Hunger Games, where it all began in District 12.

Relationship - Katniss & President Snow

When he found out the victors' love was a scandal, President Snow warned Katniss of the consequences. Not wanting to learn the hard way, she asked - and eventually begged - Peeta and Haymitch to help her keep the country in belief of their love. But if they cannot prove to Snow, without a shadow of a doubt, that they are madly in love, the consequences for all of Panem will be horrifying.

Relationship - Katniss & Haymitch

Haymitch has confided in Katniss since the beginning of the Games. She knew his thoughts and plans through his gifts for survival, and Peeta was left clueless. When she returns, Katniss promises Gale that they would run away, and escape from the Capitol and their plans. However, the Victory Tour puts her back with Peeta, and Gale doesn't know who to turn to anymore.

Katniss and Peeta grew close during the Hunger Games. While saving each other's lives numerous times, they were almost forced to fall in love to keep the publicity on their side and off of their back. Now that the Victory Tour is approaching, they must resume their love, and make it more convincing than ever before. Will their antics bring them closer together, or pull them farther apart?

Character Bio - Haymitch

As the trainer for Katniss and Peeta during the Hunger Games, Haymitch is put under as much pressure as they are. He has to bring his reclaimed drinking habits to a halt, and convince the country of his victors' love. With the uprising in District 8, the murders in District 11, and the Victory Tour coming up, Haymitch has to keep his victors safe... and ready for the adventure of their lives.

Peeta survived the Hunger Games with Katniss, and makes it very clear that their love was only for publicity. when he hears of the rebellion's threat to the capitol, he is willing to redeem himself with Katniss for the sake of District 12. With the pressure of an entire country on his back, it's up to him and Katniss to stop the rebellion and prove themselves to the president before it's too late.

Catching Fire, by Suzanne Collins, is about a girl named Katniss, who lives in a small town. She returns home after winning the Hunger Games, and is well respected throughout the town. During these games, she pretended to love a kid named Peeta, and she starts to like him for real. Now, there are rumors of a rebellion against the Capitol, and she and Peeta seemed to have started it. As winners of the Hunger Games, they have to travel the country on a Victory Tour. Their veil of fake love has disappeared, and the media is hungrier than ever. If Katniss and Peeta can't convince the country of their love, the consequences will be terrible...for everyone.
